Note: This IDE ribbon cable allows for custom placement of the connectors on the cable and provides flexibility in the placement of IDE drives. However, only 2 IDE drives, 1 primary drive and 1 secondary drive, may be attached to an IDE controller interface. The span measurements you specify above will be the length of cable between the first and second connector, the length between the second and third connector, and then the length between the third and fourth connector. Maximum guaranteed overall length is 48 inches.
