PVC or Plenum?

Check your local fire code! PVC jacketed cable is for general purpose use. It cannot be used in air returns unless enclosed in conduit. A plenum rated jacket is generally required for use in any area used for air return, many dropped ceilings, air ducts and in public buildings. Fire codes vary from area to area. If unsure which you need, check with your local Fire Marshall.

Note: This video cable is a non-standard VGA cable for applications that require female connectors on both ends. This VGA cable is manufactured with a double shielded, mini-coaxial, video style cable. Lengths less than 3 feet are non-returnable. Most video cable applications require a standard PVC jacket. A plenum rated jacket may be required in some cases to meet local fire codes.
