Note: This Cat5 RJ21 cable meets or exceeds Category 5 standards and is backward compatible with both Category 3 and Category 4 cables. This cable is terminated with an Avaya 525 series telco connector at one end and left unterminated at the other end. For most applications a PVC jacket is acceptable. A plenum rated jacket may be required in some cases to meet local fire codes. The female 525 telco connector is only available in a 90 degree right facing (RF) style. If other exit angles are required, please call 800-525-3303 for assistance. Please note that Cat5e cable may be substituted based on availability. Cat5e exceeds the performance requirements of Cat5, and is 100% backwards compatible.
